1. Who we are and what these terms cover
"Heisenbug", "we" and "us" mean the software business Heisenbug, established in Brazil and operated by
its owner as a sole proprietor, reachable at
[email protected] and at
www.theheisenbug.com.
These terms apply to:
- the websites
www.theheisenbug.com,vibe-meet.theheisenbug.comandinterview-questions.theheisenbug.com; - Interview Questions, the interview-preparation web app;
- Vibe Meet, the desktop meeting-copilot app (its installer and settings folder may still show the internal name "MeetCopilot") and the account and billing service behind its paid plans.
By using any of them you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you buy something, you also accept the terms of our merchant of record, Paddle (section 5). If you do not agree, do not use the products.
You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live (18 in most countries), or use the products under the supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you.
2. Accounts
One Heisenbug account, created by signing in with Google, works across all our products. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. An account is personal: do not share it, and do not let more than one person use a single paid plan. Business or team licences are not offered yet; if you need one, contact us.
You can delete your account at any time (in Vibe Meet: Settings → Account; otherwise by email). Deleting it removes your progress, devices and remaining credits and cannot be undone. See the Privacy Policy for what is kept for tax and accounting reasons.
3. Interview Questions
3.1 What it is
Interview Questions is a study platform: technical interview questions organised by technology, seniority and relevance, with written answers, learning paths and hands-on practice projects. Part of the content is free; the rest is premium.
3.2 Premium access
Premium access is a one-time purchase for lifetime access to all premium content that exists now or is added later, for as long as the service is offered. It is tied to your account and is not transferable. Ask AI, the built-in AI assistant, has a daily question limit that depends on your plan (free or premium); the limit is shown in the app.
Every topic includes free content so that you can judge the quality and format before buying. Prices are listed on the site (section 5); a later price change does not affect a purchase already made.
3.3 Licence to the content
Premium content is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial study. You may use the code examples in your own projects. You may not copy, publish, redistribute, resell, scrape or bulk-download the questions, answers, chapters or projects, or use them to train models or to build a competing product.
3.4 No guarantee of results
The content is educational. We work to keep it accurate, but technology changes and mistakes happen; we do not promise that it is complete or error-free, and we do not promise any outcome, such as passing an interview or getting a job.
4. Vibe Meet
4.1 What it is, and the licence
Vibe Meet is a desktop application that captures your microphone and system audio during meetings and produces live captions, suggestions and, if you enable it, a recording, transcript, report and notes, all saved to a folder you choose. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on computers you control, subject to these terms. You may not reverse-engineer, modify, redistribute or resell the app, or bypass its licence checks.
4.2 Free tier
The whole app is free to use with your own AI-provider keys ("bring your own keys") or with the on-device engines, without an account. What is free today stays free; paid features are additions on top. There is no free trial because the free tier is the trial.
4.3 Paid plans
- Pro adds paid-only features such as stealth mode.
- Pro AI adds everything in Pro plus a monthly allowance of AI credits that lets the app use our provider accounts instead of your own keys.
Each plan is sold as:
- a monthly or yearly subscription, which renews automatically until you cancel; or
- a 12-month pass: a one-time purchase that gives 12 months of the plan and does not renew. In Brazil, passes can be paid with Pix.
Prices, the current features of each plan and the size of the monthly credit allowance are shown on the pricing page and inside the app at the time of purchase, and are part of your order.
4.4 AI credits and top-ups
- Credits are denominated in US dollars. Each request paid with credits is debited at the AI provider's list price plus a 20% service margin, which covers our costs of running the service. The app shows a live estimate during a meeting and your balance in Settings.
- The monthly allowance included in Pro AI is granted at the start of each billing period. Unused allowance expires at the end of that period; it does not roll over.
- Top-ups can be bought in fixed amounts (currently from US$5 to US$500 per purchase, in US$5 steps). Top-up credits do not expire while your account exists. In Brazil, top-ups can be paid with Pix.
- Credits are spent from the allowance that expires first, then from top-ups. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are refundable only as described in the Refund Policy.
- When your balance reaches zero, new cloud requests fall back to your own keys or the on-device engines. A meeting that is already running is never interrupted.
4.5 Fair use and technical limits
To keep the shared provider accounts working for everyone, included credits are subject to limits: a small number of concurrent live-caption sessions per account (currently two), a monthly usage ceiling proportional to your credits, and a limit on how many computers one account can activate at the same time. The app tells you when a limit is reached. We may adjust these limits and will announce material changes.
4.6 Your own keys, your own providers
If you use your own API keys, you are the customer of those providers: their terms apply, their bills are yours, and we have no visibility into or responsibility for that traffic. Keep your keys secure.
4.7 Recording and consent are your responsibility
Laws on recording conversations and on notifying or obtaining consent from participants differ by country, state and workplace. You are responsible for complying with them. Vibe Meet does not join calls as a bot, does not notify other participants, and stores what it produces only on your computer. Recording is optional; captions and suggestions work without it.
4.8 Stealth is best-effort
Features that hide the overlay from screen shares or pause capture instantly are implemented as far as each operating system allows and are described honestly in the app. They cannot hide anything from a physically shared screen or a camera. Do not rely on them where discovery would cause you harm.
4.9 Offline use and platforms
A paid plan is confirmed to the app by a licence token that stays valid offline for up to 30 days; after that the app must reach our servers again. Platform support (Windows, macOS, Linux) and the state of each feature on each platform are as stated on the product page at the time you buy.
5. Prices, payments and Paddle
All purchases are made through Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd, UK, or Paddle.com Inc., US, depending on your location). Paddle is the merchant of record: legally you buy from Paddle, which resells our products, issues the invoice, and collects and remits any sales tax or VAT. Paddle's checkout terms apply to every purchase and are shown at checkout; see also paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Interview Questions purchases made before Paddle was introduced were processed by Stripe and remain valid.
- Prices are shown before you pay, in the currency Paddle offers for your country, and may include tax depending on where you are. Current list prices: Interview Questions premium US$19.90 (R$49.90 in Brazil); Vibe Meet plans and top-ups as shown on the pricing page.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for your plan until cancelled. Paddle emails you before a yearly renewal.
- Some payment methods confirm with a delay. Pix, for example, can take up to about ten minutes to confirm; your purchase is unlocked when Paddle confirms it.
- We may change prices and plans. Changes apply to new purchases and to renewals after notice, never to a purchase already made.
6. Cancelling, refunds and chargebacks
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account page or Paddle's customer portal (the link is on your invoice). Cancelling stops future renewals; the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid. Unused monthly credit allowance expires with the period; top-up credits stay on your account.
Refunds are described in the Refund Policy, which is part of these terms. A refunded purchase removes what it unlocked — premium access, plan time, or the credits it added.
If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us, the access or credits from that purchase are removed while the dispute is open. Please write to us first; refunds are quicker than chargebacks.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share an account or a paid plan with other people, or use one account for a team;
- copy, scrape, bulk-download, redistribute or resell content, or use it to train models or build a competing product;
- bypass or tamper with authentication, payment, licence, credit or rate-limit mechanisms;
- use included AI credits for anything other than the app's own features, or route abusive, automated or unlawful workloads through them;
- use the products to break the law, including recording people where that is illegal;
- interfere with the products' operation or security.
8. Intellectual property
The products, their design, code and content belong to Heisenbug or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. What you create with Vibe Meet — recordings, transcripts, reports, notes — is yours; we claim no rights to it and never receive it.
9. No warranties; limitation of liability
The products are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including about accuracy of content, accuracy of captions or AI output, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. AI output can be wrong; check it before relying on it.
To the extent the law allows, Heisenbug is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the products, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer (section 12).
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, after contacting you where that is reasonable. If we terminate for a breach, no refund is due for the remaining period. If we discontinue a paid product or a plan, we will give notice and refund the unused part of any pre-paid period.
11. Changes to the products or these terms
We improve the products continuously; features may be added, changed or removed. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we notify signed-in users inside the product or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the products after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, cancel and, where the Refund Policy allows, ask for a refund.
12. Governing law and consumer rights
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and disputes are subject to the courts of Brazil. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and nothing here takes those rights away — including the statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase (see the Refund Policy).
